The Balkan International Autism Conference (BIAC),
is a gathering of great significance that brings together professionals, parents, individuals on the autism spectrum, family members, and advocates. This premier event is dedicated to the cause of enhancing the lives of individuals with autism and fostering a supportive community.
At BIAC, our mission revolves around three pillars: raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and emphasizing the crucial role of early intervention. By providing a platform for learning, sharing, and open discussions, we aim to create a collective force of positive change.
Our track record speaks for itself, as we successfully organized six (6) conferences from 2020 – 2023, and our journey doesn’t end here. We are committed to finishing the first round of the conferences in 2028 and taking our efforts a step further by offering intensive education programs for experts, parents, and teachers.
We envision extending these programs across the Balkan region, ensuring that practical trainings are conducted twice a year with unwavering dedication. These specialized trainings will focus on multidisciplinary approaches, which have proven to be remarkably effective in supporting children on the autism spectrum. By emphasizing this approach, we aim to provide our children with the quality services they truly deserve.
This project has several key objectives:
Promote awareness of the significant benefits derived from the multidisciplinary approach (MDA).
Equip experts, teachers, and parents with evidence-based methods and strategies, making a tangible impact on the lives of individuals with autism.
Elevate the quality of services provided by centers throughout the Balkan countries, ensuring that the autism community receives the best possible care.
Facilitate networking opportunities between institutions, fostering collaboration and the exchange of knowledge.
Encourage meaningful partnerships that strengthen our collective mission.
This project has been recognized to be a transformative journey for the Balkans and instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for people with autism, providing them with opportunities for growth, and fostering an environment of inclusivity and support.
